Chinese Steal the Internet*

A recent report by Northrop Grumman indicated that the Chinese are expanding their already awesome cyber-espionage capabilities. A report on the report can be found here: http://online.wsj.com/article/SB125616872684400273.html. The actual report can be found here: http://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&ct=res&cd=2&ved=0CAoQFjAB&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.uscc.gov%2Fresearchpapers%2F2009%2FNorthropGrumman_PRC_Cyber_Paper_FINAL_Approved%2520Report_16Oct2009.pdf&ei=cbkrS5b8LcHTlAfOuIGfBw&usg=AFQjCNFwCDw-Eacr8YwcK58Du-W102TB6g&sig2=FyhlHQ2SJUHlSAfP_-i3wg

The report basically talks about the capabilities of the Chinese. They have amazing cyber-espionage operations, and it details some particular ones that are very advanced and methodical. Their intelligence collection is way beyond anything we could start to defend against, and I would say they’re probably going to increase their collection capabilities soon. If we don’t do something to stop them, pretty soon our top secret stuff is going to be practically open-source to them.

*Wouldn’t put it past them at least…
